This Full Moon Yin: A Journey into Breath and Stillness is a slow, grounding practice that begins with Yin Yoga, weaves in pranayama (breathwork), and gently concludes with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra. Designed to support release, reflection, and rest, the class invites you to slow down and tune inward under the energy of the full moon.

The full moon marks a powerful time of release and expansion, encouraging us to let go of what no longer serves us and create space for growth in both mind and body. During this phase of the lunar cycle, we harness the energy of the full moon to reflect on intentions set during the new moon, allowing them to soften, integrate, and come into fruition.

Yin Yoga
Most yoga practices focus on dynamic, active movements, working the muscular “Yang” tissues of the body. Yin Yoga, by contrast, targets the deeper “Yin” tissues such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Through gentle, floor-based postures held for longer periods of time, Yin Yoga cultivates stillness, improves mobility, and supports the healthy flow of energy throughout the body. This practice offers a quiet yet profound opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

Pranayama
The practice will include calming breathwork techniques designed to regulate the nervous system, enhance awareness, and create a sense of balance. Pranayama acts as a bridge between movement and stillness, preparing both body and mind for deeper rest and introspection.

Yoga Nidra
The class will close with Yoga Nidra, a deeply restorative guided relaxation that leads you into a state between wakefulness and sleep. As the body rests completely, awareness remains gently present, allowing tension to dissolve and the nervous system to reset. This practice supports stress reduction, emotional balance, and profound rest.
